Picturesque fishing village located on the Salerno-Amalfi route, nestled in a sweet basin. The village boasts significant historical and artistic testimonies, such as the Church of San Pietro, dating back to 1500.
The inhabitants, mostly fishermen, are dedicated to the fishing industry and trade, with a fleet of deep-sea fishing boats, one of the most important in the Mediterranean. Tuna fishing and anchovies are practiced, and the production of salted anchovies and the now famous 'colatura di alici' are of notable importance.
Tourism is also well developed, with a few but welcoming and well-equipped hotels. Its charming beach welcomes many bathers in the summer who appreciate its simple and family-friendly atmosphere.
