Statute

The "Consortium for the Protection of Limone Costa d'Amalfi PGI" was established in accordance with Article 2602 of the Civil Code, with the aim of protecting and enhancing Limone Costa d'Amalfi PGI, a registered trademark in the European Union. With its legal headquarters in Amalfi, the Consortium has a planned duration of fifty years, extendable according to the law. It operates on a non-profit basis and is dedicated to legal and economic protection, promotion, qualitative and commercial enhancement of Limone Costa d'Amalfi PGI, as well as providing information to consumers. Its activities include improving cultivation techniques and developing nursery policies for the sustainable production of lemons.

The Consortium for the Protection of Limone Costa d'Amalfi PGI also commits to carrying out tasks in accordance with Community, National, and Regional regulations. Among these, the organization is dedicated to the continuous improvement of cultivation techniques, in compliance with the guidelines established by the production specification.
